Hi all, this is Captain Curacao writing. This time I want to share my experience with the Sunday Funday boattrip with you. I had so much fun, so I can’t keep this a secret from you! I’m not sure that day was so perfect because of the delicious cocktails with the original blue Curacao liquor or because of the crystal clear blue waters of Curacao, but probably a combination of both!

Anyway, I want to tell you everything about this amazing trip. One of my favorite things to do after a Saturday night is having a good sleep. So this Sunday I’ve had my beauty sleep and I woke up at 11.00 am, because the boat left Blue Bay Beach at 12.00 pm. That’s a great time, isn’t it? After a 15 minute sail, we’ve picked up some other awesome people from the brand new Corendon Hotel.

So, once everybody was on board to go on the Sunday Funday trip, the crew introduced us with a free drink and told us everything about the trip. After that, the captain starts sailing East. I loved the fact that the first drink was for free, but all the other drinks were only 5 guilders! Crazy, right? At that moment, listening to the nice and chill music, I knew this would be an amazing day.

Tugboat

Before we know, we stopped at the first spot for snorkeling and swimming. This stop was at the famous place called ‘Tugboat’. Its name tells you what you will see, a big old tugboat. BUT, it sank years ago, so this amazing wreck is a hometown for many fish and corals. Before I wanted to jump into the water, I realized that I was missing something: my snorkel gear! I felt so lucky that it was all included and the crew helped me with the right sizes of the fins. Thanks for that!

I was looking at the wonderful tropical fish when I heard a huge alarm. That could only mean one thing: BURGERS! I swam as fast as I could back to the boat, because I couldn’t wait for this amazing food. A beef burger from the BBQ, perfectly served with a fresh bun, rucola, tomato, cheese and sauce. It was delicious. I’m starting to get hungry again when I only think about it.

BBQ boat trip

After a big fat burger, we started sailing to the beautiful Spanish Waters. I saw so many big villas and nice yachts. This is the place where I want to live when I’m old (haha ;)). After sailing through the villas of my future neighbors we made our second stop at Santa Barbara Beach. It was so much fun swimming and jumping off the docks with all the guests. We even did a jumping contest. Guess who won? Of course, the captain himself!

Watermalon drink

Our last stop was at the Handelskade. Here you can find the amazing Queen Emma Bridge, or as the Dutch people call it: de Pontjesbrug. Besides this crazy floating bridge, you can find colorful original houses and nice restaurants at this spot on Curacao. It’s amazing to see from land, but I can tell you, this view from the boat is amazing! Check out my Instagram for all the amazing pictured I’ve made.

Handelskade Curacao

While I enjoyed my Amstel Bright and some fresh fruits, sailed back to Corendon and Blue Bay. I hope that all the new friends I made during this Sunday Funday trip enjoyed as much as I did. Thanks to the crew of Blue C, I’ll see you guys soon.

This sounds like a perfect day, right? You can book this trip here! I promise you you’ll enjoy it as much as I did. I’m really interested in your experience. Please let me know what you liked the most about this trip, I’m curious!

Sunny greetings,
Captain Curacao
