Here I am again in a brand new week, and that’s why I’m writing a nice blog for you. There is a beautiful part of Curaçao where you really should go. I am talking about the Blue Room Cave on Curacao, a unique place where you can swim and snorkel in a beautiful blue cave. You see a lot of fish here and because the water is about 20 centimeters below the surface, you have to swim a short distance, about 1 meter long, underwater to reach the cave. This is exciting, but you can do it!

Insight the cave

To really enjoy the cave, you have to bring a snorkel and mask so you can see underwater. The sunlight can only reach the inside of the cave through the clear water. As a result, the large is illuminated with a blue glow. He owes his name to this. Underwater you see large schools of fish hiding in the cave, you also have the light reflection of the sun through the entrance and you can see the underwater sculptures of the cave itself.

The Westcoast trip

I myself chose to visit the Blue Room by taking the boat trip to Westcoast. You can also book these via my website! The trip will be arranged by Blue C Watersports. An easy and very nice way to visit this special place. You leave at 9:00 AM at Blue Bay Beach and sail all day along the nicest beaches. You make several stops at the Blue Room Cave, but you also go to a place with lots of turtles that you can snorkel with! Really cool. And in addition, it is an all-inclusive trip. In the morning you get a yogurt, and in the afternoon, you can enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch, including the famous BBQ burger. You also enjoy water and soft drinks all day long and after lunch, you can also enjoy unlimited beer. At the end of the afternoon at 17:00 you return excited and satisfied to Blue Bay Beach

How to get to the Blue room

In addition to the West Coast trip, you can also walk to the Blue Room Cave on Curacao in about half an hour. This is quite a work-out and not really recommended unless you are very sporty. You have to climb a sharp rock wall, which costs attention and energy. You start at Playa Santa Cruz. From there you have a path – on the left side just before the beach bar – towards playa Santu Pretu. When you get to the bay and the black beach (Boka Santa Pretu), keep following the path. You keep walking through the back of the beach until the path splits towards the sea and land. Choose the direction of the sea and you will come out just above the blue room. Then you have to climb down and with a small jump you’ll get to the entrance of the Blue Room Cave. Another option is to visit the cave while swimming. This is about a 15-minute swim from the black beach of Boka Santu Pretu.

best snorkel sites

But I would definitely recommend going for the Westcoast trip. This is a more luxurious option, but you will certainly enjoy the all-inclusive trip with unlimited drinks, tasty lunch, and snorkel sets on board. Book it through my website for only $ 99 and go for the ultimate day experience!

Yours truly,

Captain
